About Concierge Care Collective Concierge Care Collective is a concierge behavioral health and care coordination firm. We work with individuals and families through some of the hardest stretches of their lives, including mental health crises, substance use recovery, transitions home from treatment, and complex medical and psychiatric needs. Our model is personal, discreet, and hands-on. Every individual we serve has a dedicated care team, and our companions are a core part of that team.
The Role:
A Mental Health Companion provides steady, nonclinical support to individuals in their homes and communities. You will help them build structure, stay connected to their care plan, and work through daily life with someone reliable beside them. This is a nonclinical role. No therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or medical treatment is provided in the home. Clinical care is delivered by the individual's own care team of therapists, psychiatrists, and providers. That said, we value companions with a clinical background, because that training sharpens what you notice, how you respond in difficult moments, and how clearly you communicate with the care team. Your role is to be a calm, consistent presence who supports the care plan and reports what matters. Assignments come in two formats, and you can be considered for one or both: Live-In Companion: You live in the individual's home for a set period, usually several days to several weeks. You provide around-the-clock presence, daily structure, and support during high-need periods such as early recovery, a step-down from residential treatment, or a family crisis. Hourly In-Home Companion: You visit the individual on a scheduled basis, with visit length and frequency set by each individual's care plan. These visits focus on routine, accountability, community activities, and checking in on how the individual is doing between appointments.
What You Will Do:
Provide consistent, nonjudgmental companionship and emotional support Help the individual build and keep a daily routine, including sleep, meals, exercise, and structured activities Support medication adherence by prompting and observing, within the limits of your role Accompany the individual to appointments, support meetings, errands, and community outings Encourage engagement with therapy, psychiatry, recovery programming, and other parts of the care plan Watch for changes in mood, behavior, sleep, appetite, or safety, and report them right away Follow Concierge Care Collective safety and escalation protocols, including contacting the case manager or emergency services when needed Complete a short daily report after each shift or visit Keep professional boundaries with the individual and their family at all times Protect the privacy of every individual and family you work with
What We Are Looking For:
At least 3 years of experience in clinical behavioral health, recovery support, residential treatment, sober companionship, or a related field Strong judgment under pressure and the ability to stay calm in tense or emotional situations Excellent written and verbal communication, including timely and accurate reporting Reliability. When you say you will be somewhere, you are there. Comfort working independently in a private home while staying closely connected to a care team Flexibility for overnight, weekend, and short-notice assignments (live-in roles)A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it before your first assignment PreferredA clinical background in therapy or counseling, such as a master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy, or current or past licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or similar). Candidates working toward licensure are also encouraged to apply. Please note that clinical services are not part of this role. Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist, Certified Recovery Coach, CADC, or similar credential Lived experience in recovery, if you choose to share it Mental Health First Aid, crisis de-escalation, or Narcan administration training Experience working with high-net-worth or high-profile families who expect discretion Willingness to travel for assignments Why Work With Concierge Care Collective Meaningful, one-on-one work with individuals and families who need real supportA care team behind you: every companion reports to a dedicated case manager Competitive rates and flexible assignment options Ongoing opportunities as our client base grows To Apply Send your resume and a short note about why this work matters to you to info@conciergecarecollective.com. Please include which assignment type you are interested in: live-in, hourly, or both. Concierge Care Collective is an equal opportunity organization. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds.
