Business Development Consultant

Afflatus Group helps technology companies hire engineering, product and data talent, from venture-backed startups to established enterprise software firms. We're now growing in the US and Canada and want a seasoned industry insider to help us do it. This is not a cold-outreach role. We're looking for someone who already has relationships across the tech world: founders, CTOs and talent leaders who take your call, trust your judgment, and would take a meeting because you suggested it. What you'd do- Open doors at software, SaaS, AI/ML, cybersecurity, fintech and IT services companies, as well as the investors who back them- Introduce Afflatus to founders, engineering leaders and Heads of Talent where we can solve real hiring problems- Advise on which accounts to pursue and when, such as after a funding round, during a product push or when building a new team- Join key conversations when your credibility helps What we offer clients- Permanent and contract hiring across engineering, product, data, and go-to-market roles- Offshore talent and Global Capability Centre (GCC) setup in India for companies building engineering capacity overseas You likely have- 15+ years in the technology sector, in engineering or product leadership, talent acquisition, venture capital, or business development- Active, current relationships with decision-makers at US and/or Canadian tech companies or VC firms- A reputation that opens doors on its own The arrangement This role is purely performance-based, with no base salary: you earn a revenue share on the business you originate, on terms agreed directly with you and made clear from the first conversation. The time commitment is flexible and can fit alongside an existing consultancy, a board or advisory role, or semi-retirement.
