About the role

Production Operator – Packaging / Assembly We are seeking Production Operators to support manufacturing operations at a Life Sciences production facility in Poestenkill, NY.Production Operators are responsible for safely and efficiently performing production, assembly, sorting, rework, packaging, and related manufacturing activities. Depending on the assigned work area, operators may run or support assembly equipment, slicing equipment, packaging processes, sorting/rework operations, or hand-foiling processes. The position requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to handle small parts, basic math and computer skills, and a strong commitment to product quality and safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities: Perform assigned production activities according to established work instructions and manufacturing procedures. Operate or support production machinery and equipment after completing required training. Support assembly, slicing, packaging, sorting/rework, or hand-foiling operations depending on assignment. Handle small parts and components products during production to identify defects or quality concerns. Ensure finished products meet established specifications and customer requirements. Perform packaging activities according to established procedures. Sort and rework products when assigned. Perform detailed manual production activities such as hand foiling when assigned. Monitor production processes and report quality or equipment issues. Maintain accurate production documentation as required. Follow all safety procedures and safe equipment-operating practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work efficiently to meet production and quality other production activities as required.
Qualifications: Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred. Strong attention to detail. Ability to handle and work with small parts and components. Basic math skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to read and understand written work instructions. Good reading and writing skills. Ability to follow detailed production and quality procedures. Ability to perform repetitive production activities to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team. Strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality. Ability to learn production equipment and processes through training.
Position-Specific Assignments: Port Packaging – 1st Shift This assignment will primarily support packaging operations, including preparing and handling products for packaging, inspecting materials, following packaging instructions, and ensuring finished products meet quality requirements. Sorting/Rework – 1st Shift This assignment will focus on sorting, inspecting, and reworking products. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify product differences or defects will be particularly important. Hand Foiling – 2nd Shift This assignment involves detailed manual production work involving hand foiling. Candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive, detail-oriented work with small components and maintaining consistent quality.
