Sr. AI Database Developer

Sr. AI Database Developer Ping Wind is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Sr. AI Database Developer with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to join the Ping Wind team supporting Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning strategy in Rockville, MD. As a Sr. AI Database Developer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of AHRQ applications and products. Your responsibilities will include developing database code, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software to our stakeholders and users. Design, develop, and maintain databases and database code Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Ensure database performance, security, and data integrity Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data migration and integration Implement the AHRQ Artificial Intelligence strategy Work closely with software developers and analysts to support application database needs Troubleshoot database issues and optimize performance using indexing and query tuning Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies Monitor database health, resource utilization, and optimize database configurations Stay updated with emerging database technologies and best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality software releases Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field 10 years of relevant experience Artificial intelligence and machine learning engineering Generative AI and large language modelsAI solution architecture and systems engineeringAI/ML prototyping, testing, evaluation, performance assessment, and monitoring Integration and deployment of AI/ML capabilities within approved cloud, application, and infrastructure environments Responsible AI, information security, privacy, documentation, and technical risk management Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems Experience with database development tools like PL/SQL Developer Experience applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Familiarity with cloud database services Experience with data warehousing and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)Understanding of Agile methodologies and Dev Ops practices.
