Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral health, documenting findings thoroughly for ongoing care. Design and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, which may include individual and group therapy sessions addressing specific mental health challenges. Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions aimed at fostering positive peer interactions and shared learning experiences among participants. Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting care plans based on their evolving needs and feedback. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff to develop integrated intervention strategies. Maintain open communication with clients' families to provide support and guidance in managing mental and behavioral challenges. Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in mental health counseling to deliver the highest quality care to clients. Participate in staff training and meetings to enhance clinical knowledge and patient care strategies. Patient Population / Client FocusAs a licensed mental health counselor at Accent Care, you will work with a wide array of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The diversity of our client population encompasses various age groups, socioeconomic backgrounds, and cultural identities, allowing you to expand your expertise while making a tangible impact in their lives.
Qualifications: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California. A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients and colleagues. Exceptional interpersonal skills, showing empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental approach.
Preferred Experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a mental health counselor, especially in a remote or telehealth capacity. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably with experience using AVATAR.Experience in addressing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to addiction disorders and co-occurring conditions. An understanding of current mental health trends, therapies, and legislation, contributing to knowledgeable and holistic client care.
Compensation and Benefits: Accent Care Counseling Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, with the potential for a sign-on bonus.
