Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Eureka, CA

Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Stepdown unit during night shift hours Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes in clinical status Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location as needed Complete required facility onboarding modules prior to start and annually thereafter Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day Required Qualifications Active RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission Minimum of 1 year of IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience required Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submission - post-offer RTO requests may not be considered 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs/Leads accepted) Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard terms; locals within 50 miles may be considered at an adjusted rate Facility does not accept background check hits or Nursys discrepancies Preferred Experience / Skills Prior travel nursing experience in a progressive care or stepdown setting Demonstrated ability to float and adapt across similar care units Experience with facility onboarding and self-directed compliance module completion Why Join Us Expected schedule of 36 hours per week in a dynamic intermediate care environment Opportunity to work with a well-established health system with potential to return after a 3-month waiting period following assignment completion
