Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Location:
Fort Mitchell, KYPaul Hemmer Company is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to manage multiple projects from planning through completion. This role is ideal for a self-motivated PM who can take ownership, work independently, and successfully manage a variety of commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously
- Oversee projects generally ranging from $2M to $30MManage project schedules, budgets, contracts, documentation, and overall project performance
- Develop, maintain, and adjust construction schedules throughout the project
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, engineers, and field teams
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, project documentation, and closeout
- Monitor project costs, margins, schedule, quality, and overall financial performance
- Partner closely with the project superintendent to resolve field issues and keep work moving
- Visit active jobsites regularly and maintain strong communication with project teams
- Support preconstruction efforts as needed, including preliminary schedules, subcontractor input, and larger project pursuits
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and trade partners
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience2–3+ years of Project Manager experience with a commercial general contractor preferred
- Ground-up commercial construction and site work experience
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects
- Strong scheduling, financial, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Procore, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam experience preferred
- Design-build experience is a plus
