Water Slide Dispatcher - Aquatics

The Recreational Water Slide Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable operation of the District’s water slide. This position monitors guest compliance with safety rules, assists guests entering and exiting the attraction, maintains a clean work area, and responds promptly to emergencies or operational issues in accordance with District standards, safety practices and operational procedures. The ideal candidate is attentive, customer-focused, and committed to providing a safe, positive experience for all guests. Monitor water slide operations to ensure safe and efficient use Enforce all water slide safety rules, height requirements, and operating procedures Instruct guests on proper riding techniques and safety expectations Control rider dispatch intervals to maintain safe spacing between guests Observe riders throughout the attraction and respond appropriately to unsafe behavior or emergencies Perform routine inspections of the slide area and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately Maintain cleanliness of the water slide, queue lines, and surrounding work area Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational issues Provide excellent customer service by answering guest questions and addressing concerns professionally Participate in emergency response procedures and first aid or rescue situations as trained Enforce all safety regulations and stay current with pool rules and procedures Cleaning as needed Previous experience in customer service preferred Ability to follow written and verbal safety procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods CPR for Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and AED certification preferred or obtained within first two months of employment High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must be at least 18 years of age
