Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Travere as we continue to grow in support of our commitment to identify, develop, and deliver life-changing therapies to people living with rare disease. During Travere Therapeutics' 11-week Early Career Talent Internship Program, beginning June 7, 2027, the intern will work in a hybrid environment (2 days onsite and 3 days virtually per week) and gain mentorship and cross-functional exposure while contributing to team objectives. The internship program will conclude with an opportunity to deliver a final presentation summarizing project work, key findings, contributions, and learning from the internship to senior leadership. The Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Intern will work on a project focused on exploring the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to support batch record review and manufacturing data analysis. In addition, the intern will learn about both drug substance and drug product manufacturing while contributing to continuous-improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Learn the fundamentals of drug substance and drug product manufacturing processes relevant to the project. Assess potential applications of AI to support batch record review and manufacturing data analysis under team guidance. Assist with organizing and analyzing manufacturing data to identify opportunities for more efficient or in-depth trending. Evaluate current-state workflows and identify areas where AI-enabled approaches may improve efficiency, consistency, or analytical depth. Document project methods, observations, limitations, and potential benefits in a clear and structured manner. Collaborate with relevant Technical Operations stakeholders to understand manufacturing needs and practical implementation considerations. Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing findings, potential efficiency opportunities, and key learnings. Education/
Experience Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, data science, computer science, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field, with at least one semester to complete prior to graduation. Coursework or project experience involving manufacturing, process engineering, data analysis, automation, or artificial intelligence is preferred. Additional Skills/

Interest in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, process improvement, data analytics, and responsible use of AI.Exposure to data analysis, programming, AI tools, or process engineering concepts is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to learn technical manufacturing concepts and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.
Target Base Pay Range:
