Geotechnical Engineering Manager | California A well-established geotechnical and materials testing firm is looking for a Geotechnical Engineering Manager to lead its engineering operations and help grow the business into new sectors.
What you'll do:
- Lead a team of engineers plus field and lab technicians, overseeing day-to-day operations
- Own the P&L: budgets, staffing, utilization, invoicing and profitability
- Direct subsurface investigations, seismic/liquefaction evaluations, slope analysis and design recommendations
- Act as geotechnical engineer of record on DSA (schools) and HCAI (hospitals) projects
- Set and enforce QA/QC standards in the lab and field
- Drive business development into infrastructure, healthcare, education and commercial work
- Mentor junior staff and build strong relationships with clients, agencies, architects and contractors
What you'll bring:
- BS in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological EngineeringGE license 5+ years of geotechnical or geological experience
- Strong grounding in soil and rock mechanics and commercial geotechnical software
- Clear, defensible report writing and confident client communication
