Position Details
Schedule: Full-Time (5 days/week)
Assignment: 1-1 position for student with trach and g tube needs
Start Date: Sept 2, 2026 for the 26-27 SySchedule may include bus riding
About the Role:
Hello, Lpns! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a licensed practical nurse (lpn) to provide care for students in lakewood, wa. This role focuses on supporting medically fragile student and/or diabetic students 1-1 throughout the school day, potentially including transportation needs. What You'll Do:
- Provide nursing support to students in school
- Assist with safe transfers, including on/off the school bus
- Monitor student health status and respond to medical needs
- Collaborate with school staff and family to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
- Support student access to school throughout the day
What We're Looking For:
- Active washington state lpn license (doh) or compact multi-state nursing license
- Experience with trach care, g-tube required
- Must have current car registration and passport or enhanced driver's license
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
- Reliable, attentive, and comfortable in a pediatric setting
