Digital Marketing Manager QuoteIQ | Remote | $20–$25/hour | Contract-to-HireAbout QuoteIQQuoteIQ is an all-in-one business management platform built for home service contractors. We’re a fast-growing, bootstrapped software company with a small team, a lot happening, and very little corporate red tape. We move quickly, use AI heavily throughout the company, and care much more about what someone can actually accomplish than what’s on their résumé.We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Manager who can take ownership of projects, learn quickly, and help us execute across our digital marketing operation. This is a hands-on role. We’re not looking for someone who wants to spend their day sitting in meetings, managing an agency, or simply prompting AI and passing along whatever it produces. We want someone who gets things done. What You’ll Initially Be Working OnYour first major responsibility will be helping us scale and improve the QuoteIQ website. We’ve already built the underlying system—including page templates, product information, content guidelines, interactive product demos, SEO/AEO guidelines, publishing processes, and quality-control checklists. You don’t need to invent the system. You’ll learn it, operate it, and help us make it better. You’ll use modern AI tools to help research, write, build, optimize, and improve pages much faster than would traditionally be possible. But AI is only a tool. You’re responsible for what actually gets published. That means checking facts, catching mistakes, making sure pages look great, verifying that information about QuoteIQ is accurate, and making sure the finished product meets our standards. As you learn the business and prove yourself, this position can expand into additional areas of QuoteIQ’s digital marketing based on your strengths.
What You’ll Do: Your responsibilities may include:
- Build, update, and improve pages across the QuoteIQ website
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, writing, analysis, and production
- Review AI-generated work and catch inaccurate or misleading information
- Learn QuoteIQ well enough to recognize when something written about our product isn’t correct
- Publish and update website content
- Make sure pages look great on desktop and mobile
- Follow our existing SEO and AI-search optimization processes
- Improve page titles, headings, internal links, structured data, and other on-page elements
- Monitor how our pages perform in Google and AI platforms
- Research competitors and new marketing opportunities
- Help identify ways to improve traffic, visibility, conversions, and brand presence
- Assist with other digital marketing projects as the role grows
Take ownership of projects and move them forward without needing someone to constantly follow upWho We’re Looking ForYou do not need to be an SEO expert, web developer, or programmer.
Those things can be learned.
We’re much more interested in finding someone who is:
Smart and resourceful
Extremely detail-oriented
Comfortable with technology
A fast learner
Good at figuring things out
Comfortable using AI as part of their everyday workflow
Able to work independently
Willing to ask questions when something doesn’t make sense
Capable of taking ownership instead of waiting for instructions
Interested in understanding why something works instead of blindly following a checklist
Most importantly, you need good judgment.
AI makes it incredibly easy to produce a lot of work very quickly. It also makes it incredibly easy to produce something that looks convincing but is completely wrong.
We’re looking for someone who catches those mistakes.
If something doesn’t look right, you investigate it.
If information conflicts, you verify it.
If you don’t know something, you ask.
We’d rather have someone slow down and question something than confidently publish something that’s wrong.
Experience We’re Interested InAny of the following are helpful:
Digital marketing
Content marketing
Website management
WordPress or ElementorHTML/CSSSEOAEO/GEO or AI search optimization
SaaS marketing
AnalyticsConversion optimization
Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, or similar AI tools
Building your own websites, projects, or online businesses
You do not need experience in all of these areas.
Someone with less traditional marketing experience who is extremely capable, technically comfortable, and learns quickly may be a better fit for us than someone with ten years of experience who is stuck doing things the old way.
What This Role Is NOTThis is not an SEO agency position.
It’s not a social media management position.
It’s not a paid ads position.
It’s not a job where you spend all day generating AI content.
And it’s not a management position where you simply delegate work to other people.
The word Manager means you’ll be expected to own your projects and outcomes.
You’ll be working directly inside the systems, producing work, checking it, publishing it, measuring it, and improving it.
Compensation & Structure$20–$25/hour depending on experience
RemoteContract-to-hire
We’ll begin with a contract period so both sides can make sure it’s a great fit. For the right person, we’re looking for someone who can grow with QuoteIQ and take on increasing responsibility over time.
How To Apply:
Don’t send us a generic cover letter.
Instead, answer these questions:1. Tell us about something you’ve built, grown, or improved online.
It could be a website, business, marketing campaign, content project, side project, or something completely different.2. What AI tools do you currently use, and what do you actually use them for?
We’re more interested in your workflow than a list of tools.3. Tell us about a time AI gave you something that was wrong. How did you realize it was wrong?
Be specific.4. What areas do you have experience in?
Website management, content, SEO, HTML/CSS, WordPress, analytics, AI tools, SaaS, or anything else you think is relevant.
It’s completely okay if you don’t have experience in all of them.5. What’s something you’ve had to teach yourself recently? How did you learn it?6. What’s your hourly rate and availability?
We’re looking for someone who is curious, capable, and wants to become extremely good at what they do.
If that’s you, we’d like to hear from you.
