Mailroom Assistant

Responsibilities: Receive incoming letters, packages, and interoffice deliveries, then organize them for timely distribution Sort and route mail to the appropriate departments and staff members with a high level of accuracy Deliver mail and parcels throughout the facility according to established schedules and priority needs Prepare outgoing correspondence and shipments for pickup, ensuring proper labeling and processing Maintain an orderly mailroom environment by tracking daily volume and keeping materials properly arranged Assist with mail processing tasks such as logging items, verifying delivery details, and resolving distribution issues Support day-to-day mail services by coordinating with internal teams on special delivery or pickup requests Previous experience working in a mailroom, shipping, receiving, or similar support role Ability to sort, organize, and distribute high volumes of daily mail efficiently Comfortable walking throughout the facility to complete scheduled deliveries Strong attention to detail when handling mail processing and routing tasks Reliable time management skills and the ability to follow established procedures Basic communication skills for interacting with staff regarding deliveries and pickups Ability to lift and move mail bins, packages, or office materials as needed
