We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our client in downtown Chicago. This is a hybrid contract, with potential to transition to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Must-Have:
Qualifications3–5 years of hands-on payroll experience1–2 recent years of hands-on Workday experienceExperience with Workday Payroll or payroll-related processes
Excellent Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables / Pivot ChartsVLOOKUPData analysis and reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of payroll data
- Ability to analyze discrepancies, identify issues, and support accurate payroll processing and reporting
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Nice-to-Have Experience
- Payroll processing and reconciliation
- Payroll reporting and variance analysis
- Workday Time Tracking, Benefits, or Compensation
- Accounting or Finance experience
- Multi-state payroll
- Payroll-to-GL reconciliationSOX, audit, or internal controls experienceExperience working with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Accounting teams
Position Details
Location: Downtown Chicago
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Type: Contract with potential for contract-to-hire
Experience: 3–5 years payroll + 1–2 recent years Workday
