About the role

Construction Project Manager Southfield, MI (Southeast Michigan) | Office + field | Permanent - Full-time | $120K-$150K (DOE, may exceed for strong qualifications) + signing bonus Our client, an established, employee-owned civil engineering, surveying and planning firm, was recently awarded several large transportation and municipal projects, including one lasting 3 years. They have an immediate need for 2 Construction Project Managers in Southeast Michigan to lead construction engineering and inspection teams.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead construction engineering/inspection on road, bridge, water main, sewer and stormwater projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets and staffing of field inspection teams
  • Serve as the main contact for municipal, county and MDOT clients, contractors and agencies
  • Oversee contract administration: pay estimates, change orders, RFIs, submittals and quantity tracking
  • Ensure QA/QC, documentation and compliance with plans, specs and State/Federal (LAP) requirements
  • Maintain client relationships and support new business
What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience on public infrastructurePE preferred (Michigan PE or ability to obtain)
  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Working knowledge of MDOT specifications, Field
  • Manager/FieldBook and LAP project delivery
  • Strong leadership, communication and client-service skills; valid driver's license
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
