Job TitleEssential ResponsibilitiesCreate and optimize CNC programs for 3 & 5-axis machines using Siemens NX and other software's to produce complex aerospace & defense components and toolingInterpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining operations and sequencesSelect appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job, ensuring machine capabilities align with part specificationsSelect appropriate tooling for each job and design/create custom fixtures when necessaryMaintain accurate records of CNC programs, machine setups, modifications, and test resultsGenerate documentation to set up CNC machines, perform test runs, and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet specified quality and tolerance standardsWork closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to resolve technical issues and improve machining processesWork with quality engineers and inspectors to conduct checks on finished products using precision measuring tools ensuring compliance with part specificationsStay updated on the latest advancements in CNC programming and machining technologies to improve production efficiency and qualityEnsure all machining operations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and best practicesPosition RequirementsAn Associate's degree in CNC programming, machine tool technology, or related field preferredMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC programming and machining to include 5-axisExperience in the aerospace, defense, or medical industries is strongly preferredFamiliarity with Siemens, Fanuc, Hurco, and Mazak controlsCMM Experience to include PC-DMIS software a plusProficient in Siemens NX softwareFamiliarity with any other CAD/CAM software is a plusStrong understanding of machining processes, materials, and quality control standardsExperience in creating and optimizing complex CNC programs for precision machiningStrong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and equipmentFamiliarity with G-code and M-codesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize machining operationsStrong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsAttention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of precision and qualityAbility to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, machinery, and potential hazards, while adhering to all safety protocolsOccasional travel up to 20% may be required to support sister divisions within the U.S and Canada
