Overview
In this role, you will shape Rocket Lab’s voice across multiple social channels and digital touchpoints. You will plan and execute an aggressive content calendar aligned with missions and company milestones, while ensuring consistent, technically accurate storytelling. You’ll work closely with engineers and production teams to translate complex aerospace achievements into engaging content for diverse audiences. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that blends strategy, real-time coverage, and creative experimentation to extend Rocket Lab’s reach. You’ll be at the center of live launches and major events, driving impact through bold, data-informed digital storytelling.

Responsibilities Plan, maintain, and execute an aggressive digital editorial calendar aligned with missions and milestones Lead day-to-day execution across X, Linked In, Instagram, You Tube, Facebook, Bluesky, newsletters and emerging platforms Tailor content for B2B/B2G, talent, investors, and fans Capture, package, and publish live coverage for launches, hot fires, deployments, trade shows, and milestones Collaborate with engineers, mission operators, and production teams to translate complex technical achievements into accessible content Monitor analytics, test formats and AI tools, and optimize for reach and engagement Maintain Rocket Lab’s brand voice across captions, clips, graphics, and posts Bring fresh distribution strategies and bold creative experiments to stay ahead of the industry Participate in concept-to-feed execution, including drafting, shooting, editing, and publishing
Key requirements 5+ years of experience Proven track record running high-growth, high-engagement social channels and digital campaigns Portfolio with direct examples of successful campaigns Experience in organic and paid social campaigns and strategies Willingness to travel and support on-site activations across time zonesownership and initiativehighly organized with attention to detailcalm under pressure and decisive when news breakssocial media management across multiple platformsanalytics and data-driven optimizationexperience with paid social campaigns and strategies
