Senior Virtualization and Storage Engineer (New York)

What we're looking for: At least ten years of hands-on experience building and supporting compute platforms in production environments, with a solid understanding of availability, performance, and resource management. Expertise in modern open-source virtualization platforms and associated technologies such as KubeVirt and Kubernetes, with solid grounding in KVM and Linux. Experience with commercial platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V is also a plus. Background working with storage systems and SAN technologies, including relevant storage protocols, along with experience using at least one software-defined storage platform. Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to operate independently and drive initiatives forward. Comfort asking questions and demonstrating intellectual honesty about knowledge gaps while owning large, complex initiatives. Ability to develop automation and tooling in a language such as Python or Go; a degree in computer science or another technical discipline is preferred. The expected annual base salary for this position is $225,000 to $325,000.
