CDL Front End Waste Collection Driver

GFL Environmental is seeking a CDL Front End Driver to safely operate front-end loader trucks for commercial waste collection. In this essential, full-time role, you’ll run assigned routes, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure timely, safe pickup and disposal of solid waste and recyclables. You’ll interact professionally with customers, follow DOT and company safety standards, and report maintenance issues. Safely operate front-end loader commercial waste collection trucks on assigned routes Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required logs Collect, load, and transport solid waste and recyclables from commercial customers Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch regarding service issues or route changes Report vehicle defects, safety concerns, and route hazards to supervision Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of assigned truck and equipment Adhere to schedules while managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment Commercial truck driving Front-end loader operation Route navigation and scheduling Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Knowledge of DOT regulations Safe loading and unloading practices Defensive driving Time management Customer service Recordkeeping and log management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL Class B or higher with air brake endorsement Clean driving record meeting DOT and company standards Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Ability to operate front-end loader waste collection trucks Familiarity with basic vehicle inspection and maintenance procedures
