Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to devise individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client. Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance comprehensive care, sharing insights and strategies to optimize client outcomes. Maintain meticulous and accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards throughout the therapeutic process. Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities, staying current with the latest trends and regulations in mental health. Patient Population / Client FocusThe counselor will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and familial conflict. As a member of the Melody Mend Family Therapy team, you will play a crucial role in offering support to those in underserved communities, helping them navigate their mental health journeys toward recovery and resilience.
Qualifications:
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
Must possess an active and unrestricted license as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Nevada.
A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is required, preferably in a mental health setting.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with a diverse client demographic.
Knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines in mental health counseling is essential.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers.
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and teletherapy tools is advantageous.
Preferred Experience:
Experience or specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment is highly desirable. Previous work with populations experiencing socioeconomic disadvantages is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and caseload.
