Self-Contained Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher Whiteside School District #115 is seeking a qualified special education teacher for Whiteside Middle School. This teacher will work with a self-contained classroom of students who have multiple needs and a variety of disabilities. The curriculum includes basic academics with an emphasis on life skills. The teacher will co-facilitate services with the speech-language pathologist and school social worker who provide push-in instruction. The teacher will also work with related service providers such as OT, PT, music therapist, and augmentative communication professional. A classroom paraprofessional, as well as individual care aides, will work under the teacher's direction. Appropriate Illinois licensure is required.
