Machinist

RESPONSIBILITIES: (including, but not limited to):All lawful directives of your supervisor or a member of Company management. Set up and operate CNC and manual mills, lathes, grinders, and related machining equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and specifications. Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and offsets for assigned operations. Machine parts to required dimensions, tolerances, finishes, and quality standards. Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators, to inspect work. Complete first-piece, in-process, and final inspections; document results accurately. Identify and correct routine machining or quality issues and promptly escalate complex problems. Perform deburring, cleaning, and other secondary operations as required. Maintain accurate production, inspection, scrap, and downtime records. Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area. Follow safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and report hazards or incidents. Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production personnel to support workflow and continuous improvement. Perform other duties reasonably related to the position.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.5 years of machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to set up and operate applicable machining equipment. Ability to read technical drawings and apply shop mathematics, including decimals, fractions, and basic trigonometry. Ability to use precision measuring and inspection instruments accurately. Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production documentation. Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team. PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIROMENT REQUIREMENTS:Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements for extended periods. Regular exposure to moving machinery, metal chips, oils, coolants, noise, and varying temperatures. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection. This job description is subject to change from time to time at the Company's discretion.
