Project Manager

Job Description: The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating projects from initiation through completion, with a primary focus on supporting telecommunications equipment attachment requests on electric transmission structures. This role will work closely with transmission engineering teams, wireless carriers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure requests are complete, properly reviewed, and moved efficiently through the approval process.

Key Responsibilities: Review wireless carrier requests to attach telecommunications equipment to transmission structures and ensure all required information and documentation are complete. Coordinate with Transmission Engineering teams and other internal stakeholders to facilitate technical reviews and approvals. Serve as a point of coordination between wireless carriers, engineering teams, utility stakeholders, and external partners throughout the request and approval process. Track requests, project milestones, outstanding items, approvals, and overall project status. Identify missing information, project risks, delays, or issues and work with appropriate teams to resolve them. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements. Lead project meetings and facilitate discussions to keep projects and approval activities moving forward. Communicate project status, risks, issues, and upcoming milestones to stakeholders and management. Manage project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, engineering-related documentation, and approval records. Ensure projects and requests are completed on time and in accordance with applicable utility, engineering, safety, and quality requirements. Support continuous improvement of project management, request review, and approval processes.

Qualifications: Experience in project management, project coordination, engineering projects, utilities, telecommunications, or a related field. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects or requests simultaneously. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering teams, wireless carriers, contractors, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience reviewing project documentation and tracking requests through technical or regulatory approval processes. Proficiency with project management software, Microsoft Office, and related tracking/reporting tools.

Highly Preferred Experience: Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valuable: Wireless telecommunications collocation processes. Wireless carrier equipment attachments to utility or transmission structures. Electric utility operations and transmission systems. Transmission engineering or utility engineering projects. Telecommunications infrastructure projects. Telecom real estate, site acquisition, easements, rights-of-way, or property rights. Utility permitting, engineering review, or approval processes.
