Assistant Salon Manager / Hair Stylist - Kids Salon

This is a working Assistant Salon Manager position. You’ll spend most of your week cutting hair and taking care of customers, while also helping our leadership team manage the organization and keep the salon running smoothly. You’ll do great here if you: Are an experienced, confident hairstylist Enjoy working with kids and families Take ownership instead of waiting for someone else to handle a problem Can give employees direction when needed Stay calm when a customer or employee situation becomes difficult Are comfortable coaching and training other stylists Communicate clearly and professionally Notice problems and take care of them Are dependable and show up on time Can balance your own appointments while keeping an eye on what is happening throughout the salon Understand that being a leader sometimes means pitching in wherever you’re needed You might NOT enjoy this position if you: Only want to focus on your own customers Don’t like being responsible for what other employees are doing Avoid difficult conversations Prefer someone else to make all the decisions Aren’t comfortable working with children Want a slow-paced salon environment Don’t want to occasionally adjust your schedule when the salon really needs you
