Senior Performance Engineer – LoadRunner

Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability testing strategies. Develop and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner Performance Center and VuGen. Perform scripting using Web HTTP/HTML and Java protocols. Monitor and analyze application performance using Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWR reports. Identify performance bottlenecks and conduct end-to-end application performance analysis. Analyze heap dumps, thread dumps, and system metrics to identify application performance issues. Perform root cause analysis and lead performance triage sessions to drive resolution. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and architecture teams to optimize application performance. Evaluate application performance across Windows and Linux environments. Gather performance testing requirements, define test scenarios, and prepare performance reports. Support performance engineering initiatives across Java, .NET, and cloud-based applications. Required Qualifications & Skills 10–15 years of experience in performance testing and engineering. Strong hands-on expertise in Micro Focus LoadRunner / Performance Center. Mandatory experience with VuGen scripting using Web HTTP/HTML and Java protocols. Strong experience with Dynatrace and Splunk for application monitoring and performance analysis. Proficiency in Python scripting and automation. Experience analyzing heap dumps, thread dumps, and AWR reports. Strong understanding of Java/.NET applications, software development, and application architecture. Expertise in identifying performance bottlenecks and analyzing end-to-end web performance metrics. Experience with performance monitoring and profiling across Windows and Linux environments. Strong requirements gathering, analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills: Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence. Ability to independently lead performance triage sessions and escalate critical issues. Strong problem-solving skills and experience resolving complex technical challenges. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented approach. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
