English as a Second Language Instructor

Key Responsibilities: Teach English Language classes to adult learners using the Side by Side textbook series (Books 1-4 over seven levels).Build and maintain continuity with the same cohort of students throughout the program. Conduct remote classes via Zoom, with monthly on-campus proctoring of exams and attendance verification. Participate in mandatory on-campus faculty meetings, typically held on the first Thursday of each month. Ensure compliance with BPSS licensing requirements.

Qualifications: Must possess a BPSS license for teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).More information: https://www.acces.nysed.gov/bpss/english-speakers-other-languages-1Experience teaching English as a Second Language is preferred. Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success. Ability to commute to Brooklyn, NY 11230 for required on-campus activities.

Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour Flexible scheduling options: Morning shift (9:30 AM - 1:30 PM) or Evening shift (5:30 PM - 9:30 PM), Monday through Friday.
