Designing physical fiber paths across the network, the full-time Fiber Engineer will manage inventory through database tracking of fiber assets and collaborate with various teams, while working remotely within the United States.
Key responsibilities:
Design routes for fiber-based services, including point-to-point and ring configurations
Research existing databases for network design and fiber optimization
Ensure the fiber optic database is current by inputting data and maintaining inventory accuracyRequired qualifications4-Year College Degree in Engineering or equivalent Telecom Network Experience
Minimum of five years of fiber design experience, including ring configurations and FTT projects
Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Visio; knowledge of Salesforce.com and GIS platforms is a plus
Basic knowledge of Fiber Network Design preferred
Work experience within the Telecom Industry preferred
