Our client, a well known real estate firm is seeking an AP/AR Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. This position is ideal for a Staff Accountant or Accountant with 2+ years of experience who has strong hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and workpapers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day AP and AR functions, including invoices and payments
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Maintain and prepare accounting workpapers
- Reconcile accounts and research discrepancies
- Support general accounting and month-end close activities
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial records
- Utilize Ariba for procurement/invoicing processes
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Strong AP/AR experience
- Hands-on experience with journal entries and workpapers
- Staff Accountant or Accountant background preferred
- Experience within a professional services environment required
- Real estate industry experience strongly preferred, but not required
- Ariba experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be able to work onsite in West Palm Beach 4 days per week
