Shape People, Culture, and Safety at Volvo Group Charlotte Remanufacturing Operations (Reman) is a cornerstone of Volvo Group's circular economy strategy in North America, giving engines, transmissions, and components a second life for Volvo and Mack trucks. As a member of the Plant Management Team, the People & Culture and Safety Business Partner serves as the senior People & Culture and Safety partner for the Charlotte Remanufacturing facility. In this role, you will help build an inclusive, high-performing workplace, strengthen organizational capabilities, and foster a proactive safety culture that protects employees and supports business success. What you will do:
• Partner with plant leadership to drive the People & Culture and Safety agenda in alignment with business objectives and operational priorities.• Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.• Ensure safety is embedded in everyday operations and remains a core part of how we work, make decisions, and improve.• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and other applicable workplace safety regulations, supporting audits, risk-reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.• Translate business strategy into actionable people and organizational plans that strengthen performance and support transformation.• Partner with leaders to develop the capabilities needed for current and future business success.• Drive employee engagement and help foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.• Build strong relationships across the organization by listening, influencing, collaborating, and driving positive change.• Actively contribute as a member of the Plant Management Team and the Reman People & Culture Extended Team. What we believe will help you succeed• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, or a related field.• Good knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations.• Good understanding of OSHA requirements and workplace safety practices.• Experience partnering with leaders in a manufacturing, automotive, or operational environment is a plus.• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and drive organizational change.• To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status Why Charlotte?
