District Substitute Classroom Education Assistants

Requirements: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); an Associate's degree is preferred. Read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Mobility and ability to lift and/or assist individuals who weigh up to 50 pounds. Hearing, speech, and sight are required.

Other Skills and Abilities: Present information in one-to-one and small group situations to students, parents, and/or staff. Provide a variety of suggestions for working with students in the special education setting. Maintain flexibility in day-to-day dealings with staff and students. Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students. Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
