Overview:
Job SummaryResponsible for purchasing capital equipment from vendors. Ensures that all Capital Purchase Orders for the BMHCC system are error-free and conform to established guidelines and procedures. With working knowledge of legal, financial, technical, and operational factors, reviews Capital Expenditure Documents and Purchase Requisitions for accuracy and completeness. Follows appropriate business and legal protocol for issuing of Capital Purchase Orders for the appropriate Baptist entity while ensuring compliance with organizational and departmental objectives. Reviews all discrepancies with appropriate Supply Chain Operations personnel and follows up, as requested, on all discrepancies and seeks resolution prior to issuance of purchase orders. Maintains tracking file of all capital orders, pending and complete, for follow up as necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for purchasing capital equipment from vendors.
- Ensures that all Capital Purchase Orders for the BMHCC system are error-free.
- With working knowledge of legal, financial, technical, and operational factors, reviews Capital Expenditure Documents and Purchase Requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
- Follows appropriate business and legal protocol for issuing of Capital Purchase Orders for the appropriate Baptist entity.
- Reviews all discrepancies with appropriate Supply Chain Operations personnel.
- Maintains tracking file of all Capital Orders, pending and complete, for follow up as necessary.
- Completes assigned goals Experience Minimum Required 3 years' Experience in Materials Management or Operations Planning. Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Knowledge of statistical analysis preferred. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must also possess excellent Customer Service and Human Relations skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Preferred/Desired 5 years' Experience EducationMinimum RequiredLogistics, accounting, and/or finance. Equivalent experience Preferred/DesiredBachelor's degree TrainingMinimum RequiredMicrosoft Office Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access Preferred/DesiredMicrosoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Lawson 9.0 Special SkillsPreferred/DesiredCPIM or APICS
