Ready-Mix Concrete Outside Sales Representative

CalPortland seeks a Ready Mix Sales Representative to grow and manage ready-mix concrete business within an assigned territory. In this field-based role, you will build strong relationships with contractors, builders, and industrial customers while promoting CalPortland’s high-quality, sustainable products. Responsibilities include prospecting and closing new accounts, providing technical product guidance, preparing quotes, and coordinating closely with operations and dispatch to ensure reliable, on-time deliveries. You will track market trends, maintain CRM data, and collaborate on bids and large projects. Develop and manage relationships with contractors, builders, and industrial customers to grow ready-mix concrete sales Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in assigned territory Provide technical product knowledge and guidance on mix designs, applications, and specifications Prepare and deliver accurate quotes, proposals, and pricing in alignment with company margins Coordinate with operations, dispatch, and logistics teams to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and activity reports Collaborate with internal teams on bids, large projects, and sustainability-focused solutions Support job site visits, problem-solving, and customer service follow-up Adhere to all safety, environmental, and compliance standards B2B sales Account management Territory development Construction materials knowledge Technical product knowledge (ready-mix concrete) CRM software Pricing and quoting Negotiation Customer relationship building Market research and analysis Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license and clean driving record OSHA/safety training related to construction sites (preferred) Knowledge of ready-mix concrete, construction materials, or building products Familiarity with CRM and sales reporting tools
