Security Technician

Pay Rate: $30–$50/hr, depending on experience and skill level

Duration: 6 Month contract to hire

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Security Technician 2 to support a leading electronic security and mission-critical systems integration client on large-scale projects throughout the DMV area. This role will focus on the installation, integration, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of electronic security systems across commercial and secure government environments. Candidates should be comfortable traveling extensively between project sites and independently supporting complex field installations. Install and maintain access control, intrusion detection, CCTV/video surveillance, and related electronic security systems Perform panel and device terminations and install head-end security equipment Troubleshoot hardware and system issues and support software commissioning and system testing Support new security installations in offices, secure facilities, and SCIF-related projects Conduct inspections, evaluations, inventories, drawing takeoffs, and RFIsMaintain daily reports and document installation and project progress Support project schedules, labor-hour forecasting, safety audits, and operational risk management activities Communicate field issues to leadership and provide guidance to other technicians as appropriate
