Job Description Job Description Summary Under the direction of the Shop Supervisor, the Machine Builder/System Technician uses schematics and CAD drawings to assemble, install, debug, and troubleshoot various types of industrial equipment. The role requires the use of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical hand tools to complete day-to-day tasks. The System Technician should have a working knowledge of machine construction and operation, electrical schematics, and electrical components.

- Work both independently and as part of a project team.
- Comply with all quality and safety regulations.
- Maintain own set of tools.
- Work nights and weekends as needed.
- Travel up to 25% annually is required.

- Organize and maintain electrical schematics, shop materials, job inventory, and tools to ensure the panel shop portrays a professional image.
- Wire electrical sub-panels from schematics and customer specifications.
- Modify enclosures as required to fit components.
- Operate a variety of labeling devices and machines.
- Install cord grips, hardware, and flexible or rigid conduit to interconnect enclosures.
- Understand the build process and how to make mechanical or electrical changes.
- Apply industry electrical code, including NEC, ANSI, NFPA, and OSHA standards. Mechanical
- Read and interpret assembly blueprints or specification manuals and plan assembly or building operations.

- Position or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists or lifts.
- Lay out, drill, ream, tap, or cut parts for assembly.
- Set up and operate metalworking machines, such as drills, grinders, saws, and hammer drills.
- Apply working understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Measure and lay out floor plans for systems using mathematics as needed.
- Verify conformance of parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers. Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical/trade school certificate in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical technology preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical CAD drawings.
- Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical hand tools.
