Job TitleSpecific Job Functions: Greet and converse with guests to suggest or receive cocktail orderPrepare and serve cocktails to customers following hotel guidelinesClean and organize bar to beverage department standardsPrepare order to replenish stock at bar to pre-determined par levelsProvide exceptional service to customersFollow departmental cash handling policies and proceduresPrepare cocktails for cocktail serversKnowledge of wine and champagne service at table gamesWork station must be maintained and left stocked and cleaned for next shiftGarnish drinksEnsure correct health and sanitation practices are followedEnsure the correct glassware / stemware is used according to Beverage Department standardsAcknowledge every guest with a prompt and friendly greetingAnswer questions related to property correctly and professionallyHandle cash, credit cards and room charges in accordance with departmental proceduresAssist new employees with training and answering questionsCheck ID's if the guest appears to be under 30 Replace dirty ashtrays by capping off ashtrays with a clean ashtrayReact to the needs of management for special host requestsInform management of any problems or concernsBe ethical and professional at all timesCommunicate with Management to keep them informed of special requests from a guestAnswer telephone using the property telephone etiquette standardsPerform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the departmentQualifications: Minimum one year bartending experience in a high-volume hotel / restaurant requiredPleasing personality and ability to communicate with customersCommunicate effectively in English both verbally and written formsKnowledge of ABC lawsProfessional appearance demeanor a mustEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
