Operator 1, ForkliftJob Description *Only qualified candidates located near the Covington, Georgia area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence*Education - High School Diploma or GED preferredCertifications - Ability to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employmentExperience - 1+ year of relevant experience required - Intermediate experience operating either a high reach or counterbalance forklift requiredTech Skills - Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE) and use an RF scanner - Basic computer skills - Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English - General distribution knowledge - Basic analytical organizational and prioritization skillsSoft Skills - Strong initiative and drive for resultsResponsibilities - Transport palletized product within the distribution center including unloading, put away, double deep bulk and full pallet picking, loading and replenishment - Operate material handling equipment including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack and dock stocker - Use RF scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site - Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks - Follow site safety procedures including required PPE such as safety vest and safety shoes - Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas and provide backup support when requiredPhysical Demands - Regularly perform walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting and frequent hand and finger movements - May occasionally be required to climb - May require lifting over 50 lbs in some areas - Must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye - Must have hearing sufficient to safely operate MHE in a manufacturing or distribution environment - Work environment may involve moderate to loud noise - Regularly work near moving mechanical equipment and potentially precarious situations - May occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles - May require a mandatory medical evaluation in compliance with applicable occupational health and safety requirementsSchedule - Monday through Thursday 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM - Job location is onsite at 14201 Lochridge Blvd Covington Georgia 30014 - Job start date October 12 2026 - Job end date April 16 2027
