Job Description
What You'll Do:
During training, you will work alongside experienced mechanics to learn the installation and servicing of residential elevators and wheelchair lifts. As your skills grow, you'll take on more responsibility and independence in the field.
This position supports our Wilmington–Morehead City service area and requires regular travel throughout eastern North Carolina, from the South Carolina border to the Morehead City region, with occasional travel to Raleigh for freight-related work.
After training, you will be able to:
- Install residential elevators and wheelchair lifts
- Work as part of a two-person installation team on job sites
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members
- Interface professionally with customers and general contractors
- Demonstrate strong safety awareness and regulatory compliance
- Develop knowledge of safety codes and industry standards
- Multi-task with patience, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Operate basic computer equipment and mobile devices
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
- Ability to lift up to 150 lbs
- Experience using hand tools safely and properly
- Prior elevator or construction experience preferred, but not required
- Customer-oriented, motivated self-starter
- Valid driver's license required
