About the role

Empower Entrepreneurs. Strengthen Businesses. Help Ideas Become Opportunities. Do you enjoy helping people turn ideas into action? Are you equally comfortable keeping programs organized behind the scenes and sitting across the table from an aspiring entrepreneur to help them determine their next step? Mohave College's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is seeking a dynamic Program Coordinator & Business Analyst who is ready to do both. This is a unique position with tremendous potential for someone who wants to build experience in business development, entrepreneurship, client advising, program operations, and community engagement. You won't be limited to one area—you'll have the opportunity to become an integral part of the SBDC while directly contributing to the success of entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout our communities. As the Program Coordinator & Business Analyst, you will help keep the SBDC moving forward. You'll coordinate client intake, maintain accurate compliance and reporting documentation, support marketing efforts, organize workshops and activities, and ensure clients receive consistent, responsive service. At the same time, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with pre-venture and early-stage entrepreneurs, conducting initial startup advising, helping them identify their needs, and connecting them with the right SBDC resources and expertise. We're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, resourceful, and genuinely interested in business and entrepreneurship. You enjoy working with people, asking thoughtful questions, solving problems, and figuring out how to move something from idea to execution. You can shift comfortably from detailed administrative work to client conversations, event coordination, marketing support, and collaborative projects—all while keeping priorities organized and following through. This position is especially exciting for someone who wants to grow alongside the program. You'll gain exposure to entrepreneurs at different stages of their journey, develop a deeper understanding of small-business operations, and contribute ideas that help strengthen SBDC services, programming, and community connections. If you are a self-starter who loves organization but also wants the opportunity to think, create, connect, and make an impact, this could be the role for you. Join the SBDC and help create the environment where great ideas get started, small businesses grow, and local entrepreneurs have the support they need to turn possibility into progress.
