Field Service Technician

Essential Functions: Installation & Commissioning: Install and commission gas and steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems with proper alignment, calibration, and functionality Maintenance & Repairs: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and corrective repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools Testing & Calibration: Conduct performance tests, load testing, and system calibrations to verify efficiency and compliance Customer Support: Provide on-site technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance Documentation: Maintain detailed service reports, including work performed, parts used, and future recommendations Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA, ASME, ISO, and company safety protocols across all field activities

Travel: Respond to service needs at client sites, often on short notice, with flexibility for weekends and emergency rotations

Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical training 3–5 years of field service experience with turbines, generators, or power generation systems Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals Knowledge of turbine control systems, vibration analysis, and alignment techniques Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
