Senior Software Engineer

Overview As a Senior Software Engineer at Surescripts, you design, develop, and troubleshoot software within an Agile environment for a leading healthcare information network. You will work with cross-functional teams to build high-volume applications that process millions of transactions daily and support hundreds of thousands of customers. Compensation / Benefitscomprehensive healthcaregenerous paid time offparental leavemental health dayspet insurance 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting Responsibilities Lead design, development, and debugging of secure, reliable software solutions across disciplines Provide technical leadership across the SDLC for epics, projects, features, and applications, including requirements, designs, tradeoffs, and production support Conduct design and code reviews, establish automated testing, verify acceptance criteria, monitor production systems, and investigate defects Promote shift-left quality practices to shorten feedback loops and improve release confidence Share development, testing, troubleshooting, security, observability, and Agile best practices through discussions and training Design and maintain AI-enabled components with compliance and risk considerations Identify and implement responsible uses of AI and automation to boost productivity and outcomes, with measurement for continuous improvement Mentor teammates, communicate effectively, escalate complex issues, and document for the team Key requirements 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience Technical fluency in multiple languages (C#, Java, Groovy, Scala, Python, Type Script, or Java Script)Experience with modern AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, and delivery workflows Ability to provide technical leadership, collaboration, clear communication, and mentorshipcollaborationclear communicationmentoringC#Java Groovy
