Customer Engineer II, AI Platform, Google Cloud

Overview As Platform Customer Engineer, you will be the technical partner to Sales, blending cloud architecture, programming, and solutions design to validate Google Cloud Platform in complex customer scenarios. You’ll lead technical engagements—from demos and pilots to AI/ML workshops—driving technical wins and shaping delivery plans. You’ll support post-sales pricing and handoff to delivery teams, while ensuring alignment across cross-functional groups. Compensation / Benefitsbonus targetequitybenefits Responsibilities Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy for accounts Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture to demonstrate Google Cloud value via demos, pilots, and workshops Architect AI/ML solutions and define initial delivery plans; lead technical engagement in solution phase Support post-sales pricing activities and transition delivery plans to implementation teams Monitor progress against delivery plans and assist cross-functional teams through ramp, delivery, migration, and implementation phases Key requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms Experience engaging with or presenting to technical stakeholders or executive leaders Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops Ability to travel up to 50% of the timestrong communication and presentation skillsstakeholder managementcollaboration across cross-functional teamscloud native architecturecloud engineering/on-premise engineeringvirtualization or containerization
