About the role
About Us:
Sela is a global cloud partner, dedicated to guiding our clients in their cloud journey. With deep partnerships across AWS, GCP, and Azure and a growing practice at the intersection of cloud and AI we help enterprises modernize infrastructure, migrate workloads, and build intelligent, resilient systems. Our team has over three decades of experience delivering excellence and thought leadership to clients. We take pride in our strong engineering culture, our drive for excellence, and our supportive team.
What We Are Looking For:
We're looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer (Data and AI) to design, build, and ship agentic systems for our clients. This is a hands-on senior role: you'll set technical direction on client engagements, lead architecture and design decisions, and still write a lot of the code yourself across Python, TypeScript, and .NET. You'll own delivery end to end and make sure what you build stays reliable and maintainable once it's in a client's hands. The tooling in this space is changing quickly and the standards are still settling. We'd like someone who keeps up with it, can tell the difference between what's ready for client work and what isn't, and can explain that judgment clearly to clients and to the rest of the team. If you take ownership of your work, are a great communicator, and thrive in environments with changing requirements, this job is probably right up your alley. You'll work directly with client stakeholders to scope problems and shape solutions, and you'll help mentor and level up other engineers on the team. Our team includes network architects, cloud architects, software developers, and security engineers. You will work alongside experts with significant real-world experience on high-impact projects. We also provide many opportunities for growth and will cover the cost of relevant education and certification.
Desired Skills:
- Deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals, architecture, and system design
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one of Python, TypeScript, or .NET, and solid working ability across all three
- Proven track record designing and shipping LLM-powered applications to production users, and owning their reliability after launch
- Working experience with agentic interoperability standards such as A2A (Agent2Agent), AG-UI, and MCPExperience building modern front-end applications with React
- Experience designing evaluation, tracing, and debugging approaches for non-deterministic systems
- Track record of setting software design, testing, and code quality standards for a team
- Strong experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leading technical design on production systems
- Comfortable owning ambiguous problems from scoping through delivery with minimal oversight
- Quick at picking up new technologies and frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including with client stakeholders and non-technical audiences
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading code and design reviews
- Must be based in the United States, authorized to work in the US, and able to work primarily on Eastern TimeGreat to Have
- Experience with LiteLLM or similar model gateway and proxy layers
- Experience with Langfuse or comparable LLM observability and evaluation tooling

- Experience with containerization and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes
