About the role

$1224.00/week -Job Summary: Seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team, primarily supporting eye surgery procedures. The role involves working closely with surgical teams to ensure efficient and sterile operative environments.
Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are sterilized and arranged appropriately. Assist surgeons during procedures, passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to facilitate smooth operations. Maintain accurate documentation of supplies and procedural details. Participate in on-call weekend coverage on a rotational basis. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Surgical Technologist with active credentials for work in NJ.Proven experience in eye surgery, including cataracts, vitrectomy, and scleral buckle procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in supporting bariatric, pain management, general, urology, orthopedic (arthroscopy), and podiatry surgeries.
  • Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, with flexible availability for on-call weekends.
