About the role

Position Description: The ALICE Initiative Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expanding United Way MSJC's ALICE Initiative through community outreach, participant engagement, partnership development, education, and program implementation. A.L.I.C.E. stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, but Employed, and represents those that are above the federally poverty level and below the monthly budget of a thriving or stable household. The Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for participating individuals, service providers, and community partners and works to connect ALICE households with resources and opportunities that improve financial stability. The position reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and other community partners that can provide resources and opportunities to ALICE participants. Maintain accurate and confidential participant records, service referrals, outcomes, partner information, and program activity data. Participant Coordination & Case Tracking, maintain accurate and confidential participant records; document services, referrals, follow-up activities, and participant progress; coordinate connections to community resources; and track participant outcomes throughout their involvement in the ALICE Initiative. Coordinate community education program to include public speaking, workshop development, and visual aids.
Qualifications: Must be legally authorized to work in United States; Reliable transportation; Valid driver’s license; Ability to travel throughout the service area; Occasional evening/weekend availability; Public speaking skills; Background screening required; and Ability to lift/set up materials for events.
