Role Description:
The Estate Planning Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of estate planning matters, including organizing client files, preparing and formatting legal documents, and coordinating signatures and execution of estate planning packages. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents from templates, reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness, and managing deadlines and follow-up tasks. The role involves communicating with clients to gather information, schedule meetings, and answer routine questions under attorney guidance, as well as maintaining case management systems and physical files. The Estate Planning Paralegal will also conduct legal and factual research, assist with probate and trust administration tasks, and collaborate with attorneys to ensure smooth workflow. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Qualifications:
Foundational knowledge of Law and estate planning concepts, with experience supporting attorneys in a law firm or similar legal environment. Strong Legal Document Preparation skills, including drafting, organizing, and formatting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. Proficiency in Research related to statutes, regulations, and procedures, as well as factual research to support estate planning and probate matters. Attention to detail in Document Review to identify inconsistencies, errors, and missing information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm and legal standards. Comfort with legal practice management software, document management systems, and standard office productivity tools (e.g., word processing and spreadsheets).
