Overview In this senior role you guide the design, development, and modification of enterprise-wide software applications across user, system, and data management domains. You act as a trusted advisor to management and customers, shaping long-range software strategies and ensuring cross-platform deployment and ongoing maintenance. You serve as the primary project spokesperson and lead efforts to translate requirements into viable, scalable solutions. The position supports DoD-relevant security and compliance while driving innovation in defense software ecosystems. This is a high-impact, leadership-heavy role that partners with multiple teams to deliver strategic software outcomes. Responsibilities Advise on technical objectives for user requirements and enterprise software development Plan long-range software implementation across platforms, language choices, and resources Oversee deployment and resource availability for enterprise applications Maintain and update enterprise solutions to stay viable in changing environments Develop future applications aligned with new computer technology developments Act as primary project/program spokesperson and leadership figure Advise management and customers on enterprise software matters and publish technical papers Potentially generate revenue through program leadership and management responsibilities Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Comply with laws and company obligations Work safely according to procedures and be open to travel as needed Key requirements Bachelor, Master, or PhD in computer science, information systems, or related discipline with progressive software development experience (18+ years with Bachelor, 16+ with Master, 13+ with PhD)Ability to lead and direct complex technical solutions Expert spokesperson and concept champion for new ideas Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Customer-focused and capable of working independently or in a team Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance Willingness to work extended hours and travel 0–25%leadershipcommunicationinterpersonal skillsenterprise software developmentsystem-level and data management applicationscross-platform deployment
