SDET / Automation Test Engineer (Java / TypeScript)

Overview As a Software QA Automation Engineer, you will design and maintain scalable automated test frameworks to support UI, API, and end-to-end testing. You will work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure quality of cloud-hosted services and microservices, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. Your role focuses on building robust automation from scratch using Java and Type Script, and applying data validation with complex SQL queries. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and test suites Create and execute UI, API, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated tests Develop automation scripts using Java, Type Script, Selenium, Karate, and Playwright Perform database validation and backend testing using complex SQL queries Validate cloud-hosted applications, services, and microservices Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues Participate in test planning, estimation, and quality improvement initiatives Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and automation strategies Key requirements Min of 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation Strong programming skills in Java Hands-on experience with Type Script Strong experience with Selenium Web Driver, Karate Framework, and Playwright Playwright with Type Script automation framework developmentBDD/TDD framework experience Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Strong SQL and Database Testing skills with complex queries Experience with API testing using RESTful services Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or Azure Dev Ops Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies Experience with Git and version control systemsteam collaborationanalytical thinkingproblem solving Java Type Script Selenium Web Driver
