Junior Analyst, Operations & FP&AStart Date: ASAP, but open to discussion
Type: Part-Time, with a path to Full-Time
Location:
Remote (US-based, NYC hybrid preferred)Please read until the end for complete instructions on how to apply. About Usde Anda Capital is a principal-led firm with 140+ completed transactions across private equity, venture capital, and search fund structures. We work directly with founders and operators to source, diligence, acquire, and scale businesses. This role sits at the intersection of all of it. The Farm Program Structure For a detailed overview, please refer to these links: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XmEkMjR2S3CmRsym_Eee1_wtysF_RMNf/view?usp=sharinghttps://deanda-recruiting.framer.website/The purpose of our program is to accelerate careers by eight to ten years. A path that takes eight to ten years at a traditional firm is compressed into three to four at de Anda. This engagement is performance-based, with a clear path forward. Onboarding (2 weeks, unpaid): A short training period covering our operating playbooks, reporting standards, modeling conventions, and internal tooling. We are transparent up front that this period is not compensated. Phase 1: Part-Time Junior Analyst (paid, 2-5k/month): Once onboarding is complete, you move into a compensated part-time role on the deal and operations team while completing your MBA.Phase 2: Full-Time Analyst: Strong performers are offered a full-time paid Analyst role on graduation, with increased scope, defined performance benchmarks, and a clear path to Junior Partner at de Anda Capital or an affiliated platform.
About the Role:
This role sits with our deal team and owns the work that connects what the model assumed to what the business actually delivers. You will work on both sides of that question: installing the operating systems that make a business run, and building the financial reporting that shows whether it is performing. Operations and Integration Post-acquisition integration: Supporting integration for a live acquisition in the property management space. This includes mapping the target's systems, workflows, vendor stack, and staffing model in the first weeks after close, identifying what gets absorbed into the platform and what stays local, and sequencing the transition so service quality holds. Operating systems and process design: Standing up the tooling, reporting cadences, and documented workflows that portfolio companies run on. This covers service delivery, customer support and escalation paths, work order and maintenance routing, and tenant and owner communication SLAs. Internal firm operations: Building and maintaining de Anda's project management infrastructure, including deal pipeline tracking, workstream ownership and status, and internal tooling selection and implementation. FP&A and Financial Analysis Portfolio FP&A and reporting: Maintaining budgets, forecasts, and rolling projections for portfolio companies. You will produce monthly and quarterly packages with budget-to-actual variance analysis and written commentary. KPI instrumentation: Building and tracking the operating KPIs that tell us weekly whether an operation is holding, and translating them into reporting for investment committee and lenders. Modeling and deal support: Building operating models and returns analyses, and contributing both operational and financial diligence on live deals. That means understanding how a target actually runs and what that means for its earnings. Cross-Portfolio Work Working across portfolio companies on discrete operational and financial projects, carrying playbooks between them, and standardizing what should be standard while leaving alone what is genuinely business-specific. For strong performers, placement into a full-time portfolio company operating role.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently completed an MBA program (required).2–4 years of full-time work experience preferred. Background in operations, FP&A, corporate finance, or a high-velocity venture-backed company. Prior exposure to post-merger integration, chief-of-staff work, financial due diligence, or scaled service delivery is a meaningful advantage. Advanced Excel. You can build a model or a KPI dashboard from a blank workbook rather than editing someone else's template. Working fluency with modern operating and project management tools, and the judgment to select and implement them with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to learn an unfamiliar operating model fast. Industry expertise is valuable but not required.
What We Are Looking For:
You can take an ambiguous request and return a defensible answer without being managed through it. You can get up to speed on an unfamiliar industry fast, identifying the two or three economics that actually drive value in that sector rather than producing a general survey of it. You are precise about the difference between what the data supports and what you believe. When support is unavailable, you say so rather than filling the gap with an assumption. You flag decisions rather than resolving them silently. You are comfortable telling a senior person that a number they have been using is wrong.
