Sample Laboratory Technician

Pay range: $20-$22/hour (Negotiable)

Duration: 12 months contract

Job Summary: This position offers an exceptional opportunity to play a vital role in supporting critical laboratory operations during second shift hours. The successful candidate will serve as a key contributor to maintaining the efficiency and organization of laboratory workflows, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and safely. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, from managing sample processing and inventory control to operating sophisticated equipment and maintaining meticulous documentation standards. The position requires an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment where attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Working closely with multiple supervisors and cross-functional teams, this role provides exposure to various aspects of laboratory operations and offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise in a production-focused setting.

Responsibilities: • Lead and maintain general laboratory operations, including housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness of workspaces• Receive, process, and accurately label incoming samples according to established protocols• Maintain adequate inventory levels of labware and coordinate receiving of supplies• Prepare buffers and reagents following standardized procedures• Operate and troubleshoot equipment required for genotyping production activities• Review, organize, and archive task-related documents in accordance with quality standards• Always Monitor and ensure compliance with Employee Safety and Health guidelines• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and workflow guidelines consistently• Interface effectively with manufacturing and research personnel across departments• Manage multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy standards
