About the role

Contract Nurse Opportunity Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a school setting near Milwaukee, WI. As a contract nurse, you will work 1:1 with a student at a single school site, providing essential care for the academic term through June 15, 2027. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about pediatric nursing and eager to make a real difference in a young person's daily life.
Key Qualifications:
  • Active WI RN or LPN license required
  • Current CPR and AED certification
  • Minimum of one years experience in pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Must have practiced as an RN or LPN in the past two years, or completed a refresher within the last year
  • Comfortable or certified in ventilator and tracheostomy care
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds to support student needs
  • Valid Wisconsin drivers license
  • Commitment to upholding safety, confidentiality, and best practices in student care
Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct, 1:1 nursing care to a designated student throughout the school day
  • Monitor and manage vent/trach equipment and respond to emergencies
  • Facilitate medication administration, treatments, and daily health monitoring
  • Serve as a key advocate for your students well-being, partnering with school staff and families
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in line with school policies
  • Support inclusion and participation for the student within the classroom environment
  • Whats Offered:
  • Stable weekday schedule: roughly 37.5 hours per week, starting at either 7:30am or 8:00am according to schools opening
  • Dedicated assignment at a single school site
  • Contract position running through the end of the 20262027 academic year
